TFA.me System: Questions regarding the initial setup

Please make sure your power supply is connected. For the WLAN connection, a permanent power supply via your mains adapter is essential.

Please make sure that the AccessPoint mode has already been enabled on your device. While AccessPoint mode is enabled, the “CONNECT” – “TO TFA.ME” – “ME.LOCAL” – “VISIT” information in the text line will rotate and the WLAN symbol will flash continuously. To activate the AccessPoint mode, the “Gateway” button (usually located in the battery compartment of the base unit) must be held down for 3 seconds.

In this case, you may still be connected to the Internet and not yet directly/exclusively to the base unit (station/gateway). It could be that the use of mobile data is still enabled on your smartphone/tablet (this would have to be temporarily disabled during WLAN integration).

If the WLAN symbol is permanently displayed, your network connection is stable. However, if the frame around the WLAN symbol is still missing, your base unit (station/gateway) cannot make contact with our server. In this case, there is either a problem with your Internet connection or the base unit is not getting Internet access due to your router having security restrictions. In this case, please contact your IT specialist.

In this case, simply press the “Gateway” button again after a short pause. In rare cases, a single press of the “Gateway” key may not be registered immediately due to other parallel communication processes taking place. Just repeat the process a few seconds later.

In this case, please check if the confirmation for using Google Maps is still pending (it may be necessary to scroll on your smartphone/tablet). Google Maps is used to set the location.
