Digital Thermo-Hygrometer MUSICONTROL 30.5009
A good indoor climate is not only important to people. Even musical instruments need the right climatic conditions. The main material of many instruments, such as the piano, violin, guitar or bassoon is wood – a hygroscopic material that is sensitive to fluctuations in humidity. At a high humidity, the wood absorbs moisture and swells up. On the other hand, if the surrounding air is too dry, moisture is removed from the wood. The result: musical instruments warp, get paint damage, dry cracks and the quality of sound is affected. Serious damage associated with high repair costs can also occurs.
To protect your musical instruments, TFA has developed the digital thermo-hygrometer MUSICONTROL. Room temperature and humidity can be easily kept in view and regulated. If the humidity is between 45% and 65%, a clef will appear on the display as an indicator of ideal storage conditions. Otherwise, the device will respond via its visual and audible warning function. You can also recall the stored highest and lowest values at the push of a button and monitor the temperature and humidity fluctuations.
