The clock is equipped with an energy-saving quality movement with a deviation of less than 0.5 seconds a day, which is much more accurate than other standard quartz movements. Due to the long running time, the battery only needs to be changed about every three years.
The clock's hands glide almost noiselessly over the dial and don’t interfere with sleeping, learning or reading. The wall clock is powered by a standard AA battery (not included).
