TFA.me guide: Everything about your weather station in detail
The TFA.me system provides you with a first-class weather forecast and the ability to precisely monitor local measurements online.
It offers a clear and reliable display of weather data so that you are always well informed. In addition, its user-friendly interface makes it easy to use, making your weather observations even more convenient.
TFA.me: Weather forecast “Made in Germany”
Conventional weather stations – whether analogue or digital – provide a weather forecast based on changes in air pressure: If the air pressure rises, the weather is likely to improve; if it falls, on the other hand, it is likely to deteriorate.
If you want a professional weather forecast for several days directly for your own home, a TFA.me weather station is the right choice. Thanks to the Internet connection, these devices provide you with reliable, professional weather information from the German provider wetter.com, based on worldwide weather data, satellite images and the latest forecast models.
Forecast function of WLAN weather stations
Depending on the model, TFA.me devices provide information about the weather for the current day and up to five days into the future.
- TFA.me ID-02: Weather forecast for three to six days at a glance; detailed in four day sections with two subsequent days or as a 6-day overview
- TFA.me ID-03 and ID-04: Weather forecast for one to four days (rotating display); four day sections for the current day or tomorrow or all-day symbols for four days
It is possible to have location settings and reception of weather forecast data worldwide. However, some additional information, such as a UV index or wind data, may not be available in some regions.
Gateway function for monitoring measured values
In addition to the professional weather forecast, TFA.me devices act as an interface to the TFA.me portal and collect measured values from compatible TFA-ID transmitters within reception range. This means that you can retrieve the values calculated online worldwide. You only need an Internet connection.
Alternatively, the TFA.me Gateway ID-01 is available as a separate receiver unit, for example for home monitoring or checking measured values in the professional sector. This allows you to access local measured values from your home or garden anywhere in the world whilst on the move – thanks to the browser-based TFA.me portal, this works flexibly on your smartphone, tablet or PC.
What does the base station measure?
The indoor module of TFA.me devices measures the indoor temperature with an integrated thermometer. A hygrometer collects humidity data and provides information about the humidity at your installation location. These two measured variables determine the indoor climate and are considered a key factor influencing your indoor environment quality and comfort. They recognise when it is time to air your rooms or turn up the heating.
Which transmitters are available for the TFA.me system?
Like the gateway, TFA.me system wireless weather stations can receive up to five thermo-hygro transmitters and show the measured temperature and humidity values on their display. The ID-02 and ID-03 stations already include a thermo-hygro radio transmitter; others are optionally available.
In addition, numerous other ID radio sensors – also for other measured variables, such as rain and wind – can be received and their measured values forwarded to the TFA.me portal via the gateway function. This measurement data can then be accessed online.
The following TFA-ID transmitters are compatible with the TFA.me system:
- ID-A0: Thermo-hygro transmitter (as indoor and/or outdoor sensor)
- ID-A1: Rain transmitter
- ID-A2: Wind transmitter
- ID-A3: Temperature transmitter incl. 2m cable sensor
- ID-A4: Thermo-hygro transmitter for professional use incl. 2m cable sensor
- ID-A5: Temperature transmitter
- ID-A6: Thermo-hygro transmitter for the professional sector
Flexible retrieval of measured values via online portal
With a TFA.me station, you can access local measured values on the move and from anywhere in the world – thanks to its browser-based portal with responsive design, this works flexibly on your smartphone, tablet or PC.
Simply create an account, add the station and transmitter using your individual ID number and then view all linked devices in an overview. One click takes you to the detailed view with a trend chart and you can also set up e-mail alerts.
Weather monitoring: Measured values can be retrieved, graphically evaluated and data exported flexibly via the TFA.me web portal.
Data can be exported daily, weekly or monthly – either automatically by e-mail or manually on the portal. The data can be exported as a trend chart or as a history (CSV file). Alternatively, you can display an overview of the alerts. This also makes the system ideal for monitoring measured values in pharmacies and medical practices, in the catering sector and the food industry.
